Session 9: Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam for ages 8 and up by Vishnu S. Pendya...

Session 9: Sloka 13 - brahmaṇyaṁ sarvadharmajñaṁ
Sloka 14 - eṣa me sarvadharmāṇāṁ

Previous Class review: Sloka 12 anādi nidhanaṁ viṣṇuṁ
Key thoughts:
1. In these two slokas, Bheeshma continues to answer Yudhishtira's question #5: Ko dharmah sarva-dharmaanaam Bhavatah paramo matah?
What ("ko") in your opinion, is the greatest Dharma?
and
Question 6. Kim japan muchyate jantuh Janma-samsaara-bandhaaat?
By ("kim") doing meditation (japa) of who can “creatures” (jantu) be free from ("mutchyate") the bondage ("bandhanaath") to the world (samsara)?

2. Why are Lord Rama and Krishna considered avatars even though there is no evidence of them studying all Vedas and Vedic rituals, but the God is brahmanyam and sarvadharmajñaṁ?

3. The magic in meditating upon the God's qualities. Why illusions like ego and pride and all bondage disappears with mere contemplation of the qualities.

4. If stavairarcennaraḥ sadā is true and we have to praise and worship Him every moment, where is time for us to fulfil our duties?

5. What does "Lotus-eyed" mean literally and figuratively?
